Susan Haywood-Smith was raised in the largest Polynesian city in the world - Auckland, New Zealand. 

Due to this her art style has been greatly influenced by the Polynesian cultures of the South Pacific. 

Aotearoa (New Zealand), provides the ideal setting to inspire and nurture Susan's creativity. 

Her love of the ocean, native flora and fauna, and the ethnic designs of the country's indigenous cultures provides Susan with an endless source of inspiration.

The colourful original etchings and linocut prints featured on this website are inspired by the bold flora and fibre art of the South Pacific.
