Susan Haywood-Smith was raised in the largest Polynesian city in the world - Auckland, New Zealand, her art style has been greatly influenced by the Polynesian cultures of the South Pacific. 

Aotearoa (New Zealand), provides the ideal setting to inspire and nurture Susan's creativity. Her love of the ocean, native flora and fauna, and the ethnic designs of a country's indigenous cultures provides Susan with a never ending source of inspiration.

The colourful original etchings and linocut prints featured on Hibiscus Art are inspired by the bold images of South Pacific flora and fibre art.
